Mrs. McNabb is a counselor at Capital High school serving 10th-12th graders with last name ending in A-G. She started working at Capital High School in November 2010.  Before working at Capital High School, Mrs. McNabb spent 5 years as an elementary counselor and 2 years as a middle school counselor.  Mrs. McNabb has a love for the arts, so having the privilege of working at Capital High School, Magnet School of the Arts for Kanawha County has been rewarding.  In addition to being a counselor, Mrs. Mcnabb has two children that attend Capital High and one that graduated from Capital High.

Mrs. Flynt is a native of Charleston, WV and graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA.  In addition, she earned a Master’s Degree from Marshall University in Counseling in 1995.  She has worked for Kanawha County Schools as a School Counselor for the past eight years.  Mrs. Flynt currently lives in Charleston with her husband, Bill and two sons Nick and Patrick and daughter Catherine.

Mrs. Poore is excited to begin her second year here at Capital High School. She is a 1995 graduate from Capital High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from West Virginia University in Psychology. Mrs. Poore also obtained a Master's Degree from Marshall University Graduate College in School Counseling. She is married with two children that she enjoys spending quality time with.  “I am excited to work with all the great students here at Capital High School this year.”

Mrs. Wilcox is starting her third year as a Capital Cougar.  She will be starting her 2nd year in the CSU as the 9th grade counselor.   She received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from WVSU and a Master in Counseling from Marshall University. She has taught third, fourth and sixth grade and was an elementary counselor before joining us at Capital.  She is looking forward to an successful school year and meeting the Class of 2020!
