Additonal Information:

I have taught at Capital High School from the first opening day. What an exciting time it was preparing for the new Capital High School, and the pride in our school has not diminished in the last twenty five years. I have a BS in Education and an MA in Humanities. I have taught Spanish for 33 years.

Before returning to West Virginia where I grew up,  I lived in Venezuela with my husband, and taught English for fifteen years. My children are bilingual and I consider myself bicultural. My husband plans trips for the University of Charleston so we travel extensively. I have visited all except four of the Spanish speaking countries. I have spent summers in Spain visiting my in-laws who were originally form Spain.

I very much enjoy bringing my expertise and  enthusiasm to the classroom in order to  motivate my students to learn the language and enjoy the cultures of the Hispanic countries.
