Jonathan Harper in Indoor Percussion World Finals

Jonathan Harper, sophomore, recently competed with the South Indoor Percussion Group in Kentucky, where they won their preliminary round. They then advanced to semifinals and ended up at the World Finals in Dayton, OH, earning 12th places with a score of 84.75.

Legally Blonde school performance Friday, May 5

 

Join the Capital High School Performing Arts department as they perform "Legally Blonde: The Musical". 

“Sorority star Elle Woods doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer.  So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone ‘serious,’ Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style."  

The school time show will be Friday afternoon, May 5th with tickets sold in 1st period Thursday.

 

 

 

 

The show will run May 4, 5, and 6 at 7:30 pm in the Capital High School Performing Arts Centre. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for students and seniors, and children under 5 are free.

The Capital High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America did a wonderful job representing our school at the recent State Spring Conference at the Charleston Civic Center. 
 
The following students placed in the State Competition:
 
 
2nd PLACE - Michaela Torian and Nicole Smith - Community Service 
 
3rd PLACE - Garrett Eads - Economics
 
Michaela and Nicole will now have the opportunity to compete on a National Level at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California from June 29-July 2. They are already busy raising funds for this costly trip. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
