Capital Students win Shawnee Park Logo Contest

COUGAR PROUD!

Congrats to Jasmine Settle (1st Place) & Dalton Lucas (Runner-Up) for winning the Shawnee Park Logo Contest.

The Kanawha County Commissioners reviewed 122 submissions from various Kanawha County Schools and these two Capital High School students were chosen as the winners.

As a result of their efforts, the Capital High School Art Department received an academic scholarship check of $1500.  Their logos will be displayed at the new park and used for marketing purposes for years to come.

Good Morning Capital High Family,

The Capital High School Band has a few things for your consideration.

1)  The Pride of Capital High is having our annual Mother's Day Flower Sale.   Please see the attached flyer for options and prices. You may place your order with me or any band student through May 3.  Flowers will be delivered on May 10.

2)  Our annual "Band on the Run" 5K Run/Walk is THIS Saturday at 9:00am (registration begins at 7:30am) beginning and ending at the East Visitor's Parking Lot on the University of Charleston campus in Kanawha City.  You may also register online at tristateracer.com.  Pre-Registration is $20 or $25 the day of the race.

3)  We are STILL collecting used/old shoes of any kind for our Shoe Drive.  If you have any old shoes that you would like to get rid of, no matter the condition they're in, please send them our way.   You may bring them to the band room at any time or I'll send a band student to get them!

Thank you!
