Student Parking Registration 2017-2018

Student parking registration will take place starting Wednesday July 26, 2017 with the 12th grade.  The fee is $30, cash only, and $25 if a student maintained a 3.0 GPA from last year.  Students must show their report card in order to receive the discount.  Below is a schedule of when registration will take place.  Each student will be assigned a specific parking space and must have the following items:  1) Complete online Vehicle Registration Form, 2) Driver’s License, and 3) Grade Sheet.  Please stop by the office to scan the QR Code which links to the online Vehicle Registration Form.


12th Grade – July 26th (9:00am – 11:00am)

11th Grade – July 27th (9:00am - 11:00am)

10th Grade – July 28st (9:00am - 11:00am)

Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grader can come in after these dates between 9am-11am.

Dear Freshman Parent,

The administration, faculty, and staff of Capital High School are excited about the new school year and are announcing the date for Freshmen (Ninth Grade) and any other students new to Capital High School Orientation.  We have many new plans and ideas to make the school year exciting and successful.

The orientation for freshman (ninth graders) will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

During the orientation we provide student schedules, give an overview of the upcoming school year, and provide an opportunity for students to meet their teachers for the 2017 – 2018 school year.  Maps of the building will be provided and students will be shown the locations of their various classrooms also.

On August 11th, busses will run to provide transportation for all students wishing to attend the orientation.  The bus schedule is provided below.  Please be at the designated stop at the appropriate time.  Students will be returned to their designated stop after completion of the orientation program.

Important Message about AP Classes for next year


This is a reminder to parents and students who are participating in Advance Placement classes in the 23017-18 school year. 

Many of these courses have summer assignments designed to get students ready to start the school year ready to be successful in the course. 

Please be reminded to obtain those items before leaving for summer break.  See the teacher responsible for the courses you have registered for.  If you are unsure who the instructor is, stop by your counselor's office.

Important Message for Ms. Garrison's AP English Language and Composition Classes


Summer work packets for Ms. Garrison's AP English Language and Composition class will be available beginning Thursday, May 18 in her room during the first half of Cougar Hour.

Please ensure you pick up a packet before you leave for summer break!



SENIORS--This Friday 5/12, is the last day to pre-register for Project Graduation. Please return your completed form to Ms. Garrison. After Friday, anyone wanting to attend Project Grad will need to bring a form complete with parent signatures to the event. 


For those attending PG:

--The event is being held at the YMCA directly following graduation from 10pm-3am.

--If you are bringing a guest, they must also have a parent signed form on file. There will be a $10 fee for guests collected at the door. (Please try to bring exact change.) 

--If you are swimming, bring a bathing suit and towel.

--If you want to play tennis or racquetball, we recommend bringing a racket if you have one. There are only a limited number available at the Y and you are required to check them out.

--There is a bag check and all bags will be searched.
