About Me:

I've been teaching for over 10 years. I love my job because I get to see students grow, learn, and graduate. My favorite part of my job is making the students laugh. I graduated with a Master's Degree in history at WVU and finished my teaching certificate at Marshall. I help mentor Capital's Gay Straight Alliance. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, record music, kayak, hike, and take care of my three cats and albino baby goat Leonard.

About Me:

I graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Secondary Education, with specializations in Social Studies and Special Education and minored in history. I have been teaching for 13 years, with the first 7 years in special education. I previously taught in the northern panhandle at Moundsville Middle School before relocating to Charleston, WV and starting at Capital High in 2021. I love teaching Civics and US History and being able to come to work everyday and teach a subject I am passionate about is amazing. Working with a variety of students every day that have different needs and personalities is one of the biggest challenges of teaching but, it is also one of my favorite things. Outside of teaching, I am also an assistant football coach at Capital, the Social Studies department chair, and the National. Honor Society Advisor. I live in Charleston with my wife, Lori, and two children Harper and Lincoln.
